Dr. Steve Goldberg specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery and the treatment of shoulder, elbow and knee problems. He completed his fellowship training at Columbia University in New York City, where he worked side-by-side with some of the most renowned shoulder surgeons in the world. He performs the most advanced, minimally invasive arthroscopic treatment of rotator cuff tears, labral tears and shoulder dislocations. He is also one of the only surgeons who specializes in joint replacement of the shoulder and elbow for arthritis and chronic rotator cuff disease. Dr. Goldberg also specializes in sports injuries of the knee including anterior cruciate ligament tears, cartilage tears and meniscus injuries. He is highly experienced in cartilage transplantation procedures and knee arthroscopy. Dr. Goldberg has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters on orthopaedic surgery and lectures at national meetings on shoulder and knee disorders. He also serves as faculty at meetings to teach other surgeons how to perform these complex procedures.

Dr. Pigeon specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and the treatment of degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Common conditions include spinal stenosis, disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, and spondylolisthesis. Prior to joining our practice in 2003, he completed a prestigious spine surgery fellowship at the world-renown Hospital for Special Surgery, New York City, which included specialized training in degenerative conditions and spinal deformity (adolescent and adult scoliosis/kyphosis). He has an extensive research background, and has published several peer-reviewed articles on spine disorders. He has given podium lectures at both national and international conferences. "My philosophy on patient care focuses on use of the most updated evidence-based surgical techniques and technology. I believe in treating patients as a family member, and make treatment recommendations with this in mind. Surgery is reserved as a last resort when all conservative modalities have failed." He was voted Gulfshore Life's "Top Doctors" in 2006 by his peers, and "America's Top Orthopedists" in spinal surgery by Consumers' Research Council of America in 2007. He is board certifed and fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Wilson recently joined our group after over 25 years as a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. A Mayo Clinic trained surgeon with extensive experience in both adult reconstructive surgery (hip, knee and shoulder replacement) and surgery of the upper extremity (hand, elbow and shoulder), Dr. Wilson was most recently at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, moving here after Hurricane Katrina. He was selected among the “Top Doctors” in New Orleans (New Orleans Magazine) for the last 10 years. He is former President of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons and an examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of multiple medical societies including the American Orthopaedic Association , an honor awarded less than 1% of orthopaedists. He is the author of “The Other Midlife Crisis; Arthritis and All Those Aches and Pains,” as well as multiple medical publications.
